I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Ampers, a consortium of community radio stations in Minnesota, on the Veterans Voices audio project. I’ve recorded the stories and memories of Minnesota veterans.
In 2017, I wrote, produced and voiced a 30 part series of two-minute stories with some of the men and women who served in Vietnam. The series, which played on the Ampers stations, is available for listening HERE.
I also produced eight extended conversations from interviews with some of the Vietnam veterans, available for downloading HERE. Even with the perspective of 50 years, the pain of the conflict remains for many of them.
In 2014, it was my privilege to write, produce and voice a 30-part series featuring some of Minnesota’s Greatest Generation. The series aired on the Ampers stations across the state and can be accessed HERE.
I found these World War II veterans to be equally gallant and humble. Many were still teenagers when called to put everything on the line for their country.
The Voices of Veterans project is permanently archived on the Ampers website. You can access the entire series and listen HERE.
